Jesse Nichols

Living with single-sided hearing loss, I often found myself avoiding loud situations. Even with a cochlear implant, I felt frustrated and isolated, missing out on important moments with family and friends simply because I couldn’t hear clearly over the background noise. I had given up on being able to hear clearly in crowded or noisy environments again.Beginning with a free consultation session, Grace took the time to understand my specific needs and developed a personalized auditory rehabilitation plan tailored for my single-sided hearing loss. The techniques, skills and tools recommended by Beyond Hearing and Speech have enabled me to refine an at-home practice program and to advocate for my hearing with friends and coworkers. For the first time in years, I can join conversations without anxiety or constantly asking others to repeat themselves. The progress I’ve made has not only improved my hearing in loud situations but has also restored my confidence. I recommend Beyond Hearing and Speech to anyone using hearing aids or cochlear implants and still struggling with hearing loss.

Specialized in Auditory Rehabilitation

Auditory rehabilitation helps the brain relearn how to listen after hearing loss.

While hearing aids amplify sound, auditory rehab improves how the brain processes it—making conversations clearer, easier, and less exhausting.

It’s the missing link to truly optimizing hearing and communication.
